The practice of yoga is a journey towards greater health, balance, and self-awareness. Originating in ancient India, yoga has evolved into many different styles while remaining just as relevant today as it has been for thousands of years. Although deeply rooted in tradition, yoga is not a religion and can be practised by people of all faiths and backgrounds.

At Springwood Yoga Studio, we teach the Iyengar method of yoga, renowned for its focus on precision, alignment, and mindful movement. By combining correct alignment, dynamic action, breath, and carefully sequenced postures, Iyengar yoga helps students develop strength, flexibility, balance, and confidence. While classes can be both challenging and energising, regular practice rewards your effort with improved physical fitness, increased energy, mental clarity, calmness, concentration, and a greater sense of wellbeing.
